I would like to add my story.
Eric Christopher Gallup was born normal on January 17, 1985.
He regressed into autism after receiving the MMR vaccine on April 28, 1986. In
1989, he was diagnosed as autistic. In 1995, I contacted Dr. Vijendra Singh and
he tested Eric for myelin basic protein antibodies (Eric tested
positive)indicating an autoimmune disorder. That same year Dr. Jim Oleske found
that Eric "had the highest measles antibody titers he had ever encountered equal
to such neurological conditions as subacute sclerosing panencephalitis (SSPE)."
Dr. Singh later did the same blood test and got the same results regarding the
measles antibody titers.
In 1997, I met Dr. Andrew Wakefield at the NVIC conference in Virginia. In 1998,
I found that Eric had colitis. That same year I founded The Autism Autoimmunity
Project (http://www.taap.info/).
We funded the research of Dr. Vijendra Singh, Dr. Andrew Wakefield and Dr. Jim
Oleske. I also started documenting the autism figures that came from the US
Department of Education nationwide......we have an autism epidemic. In April
2000, I got an email from a Navy officer at Fort Detrick, MD asking who I was
and what was my interest in a MMR class action lawsuit. I never found out why he
contacted me and what was the military's interest in me. Fort Detrick is
involved in vaccines and bioterrorism.
In 2002 to 2004, Eric was on various anti-depressant pills such as Risperdal,
Seroquel, Depakote, Zyprexa, etc. None of them worked and in fact seem to make
Eric's aggressions worse. My wife, my daughter (who is presently 17 years old)
and I had to lock ourselves in our rooms so that Eric couldn't hurt us. He grew
to be 6'2" and would bite, kick, scratch, head-butt and pull hair. He broke my
left index finger and broke two bedroom doors.
We have a video of Eric showing what happened after he was vaccinated. We paid a
dear price trusting the medical community regarding vaccines and drugs. Eric is
presently in an out-of-state residential school in Delaware.
Julie wrote the following essay and snapped the picture of Eric on this site.
