It was not long before the simple ceremonies of vice began to pall on the

Thus Isaiah inveighed not only against the obscene expressions of the
blood-maddened orgiasts, their salacious grimaces, but
also their now well-established custom of practicing their horrible rites in
"groves" and "shrines," where they could murder children without being seen and
punished by the descendants of Shem.
King Solomon came under the influence of the child-murderers, and he rebuilt
an altar to Milcom (Molech, from the Hebrew melekh,
meaning king). I Kings 11:5-8. Molech, or Moloch, was
honored by his worshippers by the building of a great fire on his altar. The
parents were then forced by the priests to throw their children into the fire.
In excavations at Gezer (the Pharaoh Merneptah had called himself the Binder of
Gezer after he put a stop to the obscene rites of the Canaanites at Gezer)
Macalister, under the auspices of the Palestine Exploration Fund, from 1904 to
1909, found in the Canaanite stratum of about 1500 B.C., the ruins of a "High Place," a temple to Ashtoreth, containing ten crude stone pillars,

"After throwing Demephon on the ground, Demeter
reveals her true form, cursing humans and demanding sacrifice from them.
She calls humans "short-sighted, stupid, ignorant of the share of good or evil
which is coming to them" (Hymn, 342). It is easy to see the parallel being made
here to the distinction between the initiated and uninitiated; Demephon is
punished with mortality because he was not fully initiated. The second stage was
called epopteia or "those who see" meaning those who have been initiated and is
aware of the mysteries (Foley 66). Because Demeter is in the process of making
Demephon immortal when she calls humans short-sighted then gives the rites, it
is assumed that by becoming an initiate into the Mysteries at Eleusis, people
thought they were getting closer to immortality or at least some knowledge or
reassurance about the afterlife. Foley says the rites "brought happiness and
solace to initiates" but it is not known exactly how this was done because the
mysteries were such well kept secrets (p. 65). Sophocles hints that it was
thought that muesis into the rites ensured a place in Hades, offering a kind of
immortality: "Thrice blessed are those mortals who have seen these rites and
enter into Hades: for them alone there is life, for all others is misery"

Ba’al is a name used in the Bible commonly referring to an
idol worshiped by the Jews and many nations around them on many occasions just

Molech was the Canaanite version of the Egyptian god
Set. The god Set was a homosexual god of evil. He was worshipped during
ceremonies that involved human sacrifice, cannibalism and homosexual orgies. As

Rome, he was worshipped as the god Saturn by the

"psychically killed" in front of me, and have no way to explain what I
